The cottage is situated separately on large grounds next to the manor house. Enjoy the tranquility of this leafy environment on the slopes of Table Mountain, while centrally located to all that Cape Town has to offer.
Step out for a stroll down Kloof Street and the vibey side streets to enjoy shopping, eating or art with the locals.

Yesteryear Cottage is the ideal place for those who do not wish to be in a suburb away from the centre of town, prefer tranquil surroundings yet want to be close to the hub of the city, beaches and shopping: Only a few minutes walk from the many trendy and popular restaurants of Kloof Street, delis, a convenience store, supermarkets and Kloof Street’s many quirky shops are all within walking distance.
The famous Camp’s Bay and Clifton beaches are an easy drive over Kloof Nek, with the V&A Waterfront about 10 mins’ drive. Table Mountain’s cable car is less than 5 mins away. The area is much loved by locals and tourists alike, with lovely walks in the area. The Cape Winelands, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and golf courses are all easily accessible. At the same time, lounging around at the cottage should be like being in your own space.
The cottage is north facing, ensuring plenty of sun and natural light. Fully furnished and equipped, it has been renovated and contemporised without compromising its original character, with high ceilings in the comfort of tastefully furnished interiors. Make the most of al-fresco living on the veranda leading from the lounge or in the lush courtyard – straight from the kitchen and ideal for a BBQ. Get take outs from the wide variety of cuisines the area has to offer or prepare your own meal in the well equipped modern kitchen. During the chilly winter months, the Morso fireplace and underfloor heating will keep you warm.
Furnishings are in neutral, natural tones. There are 2 bedrooms (both with bathrooms en-suite) with white quality cotton linen and towels.The bathroom to the main bedroom has a bath, basin and toilet, while the second bedroom comes with shower, basin and toilet. Apart from the upholstered lounge furniture and 4 dining chairs, there are more chairs which can be easily moved around to accommodate guests when entertaining.
The veranda is great to enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of Cape wine with the courtyard equipped with BBQ facilities. Secure parking for one car.
